Institutional Site – BTG Pactual

Bank BTG Pactual – 2024/2025

Based on a site built without architecture planning and composed of isolated pages, I identified the opportunity to reorganize the entire institutional area of BTG. After analysis, benchmarking, and a study of best practices, I developed a proposal to unify content, optimize navigation, and create a multilingual subdomain dedicated to institutional and careers pages. The solution makes the site clearer, strengthens credibility, and paves the way for international expansion.

Introduction

The institutional BTG site was created reactively, following ad hoc demands. Over time, this approach resulted in a fragmented structure, composed of independent, disconnected pages. In addition to hindering navigation, this disorganization weakened the brand narrative.

Upon noticing these breakdown points, I initiated an in-depth study of the existing structure to identify patterns, redundancies, and opportunities for improvement. The goal was to transform a dispersed environment into a solid, organized institutional experience with expansion potential.

Development

During the mapping phase, it became evident that themes such as values, purpose, mission, history, and awards were distributed across separate pages, even though they all belonged to the same identity. This dispersion made the flow unintuitive and fragmented institutional communication. Market analysis reinforced that major companies tend to gather these themes on a single page, usually titled About Us.

Benchmarking also revealed another key point: only Nubank and iFood offered content in multiple languages, both using a subdomain exclusively for institutional and careers content. This solution proved the most viable, especially considering BTG’s current structure and the need to translate only part of its digital ecosystem.

With this data, I developed a proposal combining narrative clarity, operational practicality, and scalability. The core idea was to create a multilingual subdomain focused on the institutional and careers areas, with its own organized navigation. The suggested structure includes a menu with Institutional as the primary access, followed by About Us and Governance at the second level. In the same menu, ESG, Press, and Careers would also be presented logically and coherently.

This organization reduces redundancies, improves the navigation experience, and enables implementing multilingual support focused only on essential areas.

Final Outcome

The final proposal presents a unified, clear, and strategically structured institutional architecture. Creating a dedicated multilingual subdomain for institutional and careers pages makes it possible to translate only what truly needs translation, optimizing effort, cost, and maintenance.

The result offers a more objective experience, improves credibility perception, enhances SEO potential, and prepares BTG’s digital presence for international expansion. It’s a solution that resolves current problems while also building solid foundations for the future.
